What is Otolaryngology?
Otolaryngology
(oh/toe/lair/in/goll/oh/jee) is the oldest medical specialty in the United
States. Otolaryngologists are physicans trained in the medical and surgical
management and treatment of patients with diseases and disorderes of the
ear, nose, throat (ENT), and related structures of the head and neck.
They are commonly referred to as ENT physicians.
Mark Sehgal, MD,
earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in 1994. He
completed his otolaryngology residency at Indiana University Medical
Center and then went on to complete a general surgery residency at
Indiana University Medical Center as well. Dr. Sehgal is certified by
the American Board of Otolaryngology.
