What is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist?

Obstetrics is the branch of medicine concerned with pregnancy, labor and the period just after childbirth. Obstetrician/gynecologists possess special knowledge, skills and professional capabilities in the medical and surgical care of the female reproductive system and associated disorders.

Dr. David L. Doyle, M.D. earned his medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX in 1980. He completed his residency at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS in 1984. He is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics-Gynecology.

Dr. Stephen J. Riddel, M.D.earned his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita in 1985. He completed his residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in 1989.

Dr. Shaurin Patel, M.D. earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2004. He completed his residency at UMDNJ in Camden, NJ in 2009, during which time he also served as Chief Resident from 2008 to 2009

Janie Cloud, ARNP-C earned her nurse practioner’s degree at the University of Texas in Dallas in 1989. 

Gina Powers, PA-C earned her physician’s assistant degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1993.
